About Us

Being away from the ones you love while serving our country can be difficult.
We understand, and we want you to be able to have a little piece of home while you're away.

Yellow Ribbon Photographers is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2010 by Andy and Michele of Normand-Ashley Photography, consisting of member photographers that have donated their talent and time to photographing servicemen and women.

Our goal is to provide professional images to soldiers who are about to deploy, so that they may bring along a small piece of home with them. On a case-by-case basis, the loved ones of soldiers who have already left can request a photographer for special occasions (birth of a child, etc.) or as a simple reminder of home. These photographs will be sent directly to the soldier overseas.

How Yellow Ribbon Photographers Works

All of the photographers on our list have agreed to donate a 1-hour session for you and a few loved ones, along with 2 8x10 prints and 2 5x7 prints from the shoot. You can decide what you want to do with the pictures, but this way there is enough for you to bring 2 with you and leave 2 for your loved ones to keep.

When you are ready to schedule an appointment, click "find a photographer" above and select one from your area and contact them directly regarding their availability. Some photographers shoot out of a studio, while others are available to shoot on location (your home, a park, etc.) Some photographers may choose to offer extra time, prints, or other items at a discounted rate.

While priority is given to those who are about to deploy, we will accomodate the families of soldiers who have already left, based on the circumstance and the discretion of the individual photographer.

If you have any questions, issues, concerns, or ideas, please don't hesitate to contact Yellow Ribbon Photography directly.
